Recommendation
Members of the Bicentennial Park Advisory Committee will update the Commission on matters relating to Bicentennial Park including the historical significance of the site and site development.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Mike Bunn, Director of Historic Blakeley State Park, and other members of the Committee will be present to update the Commission on the Committee’s progress.
The establishment of the Bicentennial Park Advisory Committee applies to the goal outlined in the Strategic Plan, “by 2025, Baldwin County residents and visitors will experience the full development and marketing of Live Oak Landing and Bicentennial Park,” and is consistent with the Baldwin County Commission policy.
The Committee was established to advise the Director of Archives and History on matters relating to Bicentennial Park and programs administered by the Department of Archives and History including site development and the historical significance of the site.
The Committee consists of eleven (11) individuals selected from among citizens of Baldwin County having a demonstrated commitment to the future mission of Bicentennial Park.
Previous Commission action/date: March 21, 2023, Regular Meeting - The BCC voted to establish a Bicentennial Park Advisory Committee.
