STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the Fiscal Year 2024 Emergency Management Performance Grant Subaward Agreement with Alabama Emergency Management Agency providing $4,334.00 in Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) State Share Funds to Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency. The period of performance for this grant is October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024; and
2) Authorize the Chairman to execute the State Subaward EMPG Grant Agreement and any related documents.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) funds are received on an annual basis and are used in support of viable emergency management programs at the state and local levels of government. The Alabama Emergency Management Agency is the state administrative agency for these funds. The Federal Share funding supports programmatic elements of local emergency management agencies. The State Share funds will be used to support essential expenses of local EMA offices and other necessary costs of operation.
Previous Commission action/date: May 2, 2023 - 1) Approved EMPG Subaward Agreement with the Alabama Emergency Management Agency providing $4,334.00 in EMPG State Share funds to the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency. The period of performance for this grant was October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023; and 2) Authorized Chairman to execute the State EMPG Agreements and any related documents.

Total cost of recommendation: $4,334.00 State Share - offset by grant revenue
