STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the termination of the Contract between the City of Orange Beach, Alabama, and the Baldwin County Commission to provide auditing services, approved during the September 6, 2016, Baldwin County Commission meeting; and
2) Notify the City of Orange Beach, with the required written notification of termination as stated in the Contract, said termination effective June 7, 2024.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Sales and Use Tax Coordinator and Budget Director recommend that the auditing services contract be terminated, as it has not been utilized since 2020. The contract transitioned to a month-to-month arrangement on October 26, 2019.
Previous Commission action/date: September 6, 2016 - The BCC approved the Contract with the City of Orange Beach, Alabama, to provide auditing services.
