Recommendation
Award the bid for Project No. HW23067 - Drainage Improvements on County Road 11 (Greeno Road) to the lowest bidder, Arrington Curb & Excavation Inc., in the Bid Amount $1,977,851.68; Construction Time: 150 working days; and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on April 10, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Five (5) bids were received. The lowest bid was received from Arrington Curb & Excavation Inc., in the bid amount of $1,977,851.68. The Baldwin County Assistant County Engineer, Mark Acreman, reviewed the bid responses and submitted the certified Bid Tabulation and a letter recommending that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, Arrington Curb & Excavation Inc. Previous Commission action/date:
02/20/2024 meeting: 1) Approved the allocation of “real” American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in the amount of $2,000,000.00 for the cost of the Drainage Improvements along County Road 11 Project, to include the improvements to the existing stormwater system to mitigate flooding impacts and improve safety; and 2) Adopted Resolution #2024-042 of the Baldwin County Commission allocating up to $2,000,000.00 of the ARPA funds for the Drainage Improvements along County Road 11 Project and; 3) Approved the Chairman to execute any project related documents.
02/06/2024 meeting: 1) Approved the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the County Road 11 (Greeno Road) Drainage Improvement Project; and 2) Approved the Chairman to execute any project related documents.
