Recommendation
Approve the extension of the Lease Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and Bay Minette Land Company for property located at 119 West Second Street in Bay Minette, Alabama, from August 31, 2024, to November 30, 2024, with the lease agreement terminating on November 30, 2024. End
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Staff has identified space in a County-owned facility which can house the Baldwin County Board of Registrars’ Office. The Bay Minette Land Company has agreed to extend the lease agreement for the building BOR currently occupies at 119 West Second Street in Bay Minette, from August 31, 2024, to November 30, 2024, in order to allow the BOR to remain on premises until after the November 5th General Election. Moving the BOR office to County Annex I Building in Bay Minette will result in cost savings of $20,400 annually.
Previous Commission action/date: 09/05/2023 - Addendum to the Lease Agreement was approved which increased the monthly payment to $1,700.00 per month beginning September 1, 2023, as requested by the Bay Minette Land Company.
08/16/2011 - Lease Agreement was approved by BCC for the Board of Registars to utilize the building at 119 West Second Street, Bay Minette.
