STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Extend Competitive Bid #WG22-50 - Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of Sand from County Right-of-Ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula with Greenco Services, LLC, for an additional twelve (12) months at the same prices, terms and conditions stated in the original bid specifications as awarded on August 2, 2022. The Contract extension will expire on August 2, 2025.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The bid for the Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of Sand from County Right-of-Ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula was awarded on August 2, 2022, for twenty-four (24) months. The bid specifications contained a stipulation that the bid could be extended for one (1) twelve (12) month term by the Commission at their option, if acceptable by the vendor. Any additional extension of the Contract will be at the same prices, terms, and conditions stated in the bid. The vendor, Greenco Services, LLC, submitted an email agreeing to extend the bid prices for an additional twelve (12) months. The Contract extension will expire on August 2, 2025. Staff recommends the Commission extend the bid with Greenco Services, LLC, for an additional twelve (12) months. Award Listing attached for review.
Previous Commission action/date:
8/02/2024 meeting: Awarded the bid to Greenco Services, LLC, as per the Award Listing for the Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of sand from County Right-of-Ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula and authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract. (Effective date of Contract begins on the same date as its full execution for twenty-four (24) months with a twelve (12) month renewal option).
6/21/2021 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of Sand from County Right-of-Ways onto the Beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
