BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: June 6, 2023 - The Commission selected Commissioner Billie Jo Underwood as the Delegate for the 2023 NACo Annual Business Meeting.
Background: NACo will utilize electronic software to conduct and tabulate the elections conducted during the Annual Meeting scheduled for Monday, July 15, 2024.
Voting delegates and proxies decide all business, motions and the election of officers during the annual business meeting.
There will be a designated time votes are allowed to be cast through a cell phone link, as the election is no longer facilitated through a ballot process. For each county’s vote(s) to be cast, the county is required to either 1) designate a registered county attendee as the voting delegate or 2) proxy ACCA as a voting delegate. The designation of voting delegate(s) or proxies should be done no later than Monday, July 8th at 5 p.m. EDT.
