STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the submittal of the Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Grant Application for the purchase of three hundred (300) NOAA weather radios; and
2) Authorize the Chairman to sign any other documents related to the grant application; and
3) Authorize EMA Planning and Grants Division Manager to submit the application electronically through the Resource Conservation and Development Council website by June 30, 2024.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: NOAA Weather Radios provide continuous broadcasts direct from the local (Mobile/Pensacola) office of the National Weather Service. EMA intends to distribute them to the citizens of Baldwin County to increase weather awareness among the public.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Total cost of recommendation: $8,745.00 to be offset by grant revenue. This grant is funded at 100% with no cost share required.
