STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Award the bid for Baldwin County Resurfacing Projects 2025: Group #3/BCR-2025-3 to the lowest responsible bidder, Wiregrass Construction Co., in the Bid Amount $2,397,850.00 for Alternate 1 (All labor and material); Construction Time: 60 working days; and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on April 23, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. Four (4) bids were received. The lowest responsible bid was received from Wiregrass Construction Co., in the bid amount of $2,397,850.00 for Alternate 1 (All labor and material). The Baldwin County Assistant County Engineer, Mark Acreman, reviewed the bid responses and submitted the certified Bid Tabulation and a letter recommending that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, Wiregrass Construction Co. Bid Tabulation attached.
Previous Commission action/date:
10/01/2024 meeting: Authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Fiscal Year 2025 Resurfacing Projects as design plans and specifications are completed.
