Recommendation
Authorize the Purchasing Director to place advertisements for Fiscal Year 2027 Request for Qualifications for Engineering Services for the Highway projects listed below:
Project No. HW27002 - Bridge Replacement on County Road 32 over Fish River
Project No. HW25106 - Capacity Improvements on County Road 68 at State Route 161
Project No. HW26047 - Road Extension on Hartung Road to Sherman Road and Pond
Project No. HW26064 - Intersection Improvements on County Road 39 at State Route 59
Project No. HW27087 - Intersection Realignment on County Road 32 at County Road 55

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Highway Department has identified a list of Request for Qualifications for Engineering Services on projects in the FY 2027 budget that will exceed Highway’s On-call Engineering Contract amount of $100,000.00. Highway staff requests permission to advertise for Engineering Services as the RFQs are completed by staff.
Previous Commission action/date: September 15, 2026 - The Commission adopted the Baldwin County FY 2027 Budget (Resolution No. 2026-140).
