STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve the Lease Agreement between Baldwin Court Services, Inc. and the Baldwin County Commission for the provision of office space to Baldwin Court Services, Inc. at the Baldwin County Courthouses located in Bay Minette, Foley, and Fairhope.
The Lease Agreement shall be for a term of three (3) years, commencing on November 5, 2026, and expiring on November 4, 2029, unless earlier terminated by either party, with or without cause, by thirty (30) days’ advance written notice.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Baldwin Court Services, Inc. is a domestic non-profit corporation that maintains a contract with the Administrative Director of Courts pursuant to §§12-23-1 through 12-23-19, Code of Alabama (1975). The organization provides services to the courts of Baldwin County, including the Drug Court, Veterans Court, and Mental Health Court programs. Additionally, Baldwin Court Services, Inc. provides services to the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) in matters involving child custody and child endangerment.
Previous Commission action/date: 10/17/2023 BCC Regular Meeting - Approved the Lease Agreement for Baldwin Court Services, Inc. for office space at the Baldwin County Courthouses in Bay Minette, Foley and Fairhope, for a three year term (Nov. 5, 2023 - Nov. 4, 2026).
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Total cost of recommendation: The Lessee shall pay to the Lessor the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per year. Lessee shall pay each annual rental payment to Lessor on or before November 5 of each year.
