Recommendation
Award the bid for Project No. HW22024 - Traffic Light Installation at the Intersection of County Road 65 and County Road 12 South to the lowest bidder, James Bros. Excavating, Inc., in the Bid Amount $1,231,007.00; Construction Time: 90 working days; and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on November 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Two (2) bids were received. The lowest bid was received from James Bros. Excavating, Inc., in the bid amount of $1,231,007.00. Frank Lundy, County Engineer, reviewed the bid responses and has submitted the certified Bid Tabulation and a letter recommending that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, James Bros. Excavating, Inc. Bid Tabulation attached.
Previous Commission action/date:
06/18/2024 meeting: 1) Approved the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for a traffic signal and turn lane intersection improvements on County Road 65 at County Road 12 S; and 2) Approved the Chairman to execute any project related documents.
