STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Adopt Resolution #2024-029, which approves Case No. Z23-36 Woodpecker Landing Property Rezoning, as it pertains to the rezoning of 11.62 acres, more or less, as located in Planning (Zoning) District 12, from RA, Rural Agricultural to RSF1, Residential Single Family.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The subject property is currently zoned RA, Rural Agricultural, and is vacant and partially wooded land. The property adjoins County Road 54 to the north and County Road 55 to the west. The adjoining properties are residential and agricultural. The zoning designation of RSF1 is being requested to allow a Planned Residential Development (PRD) for a residential subdivision.

The Planning Commission considered this request at their October 5, 2023, meeting and voted 9-0 to recommend APPROVAL to the County Commission.
