BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Background:  The Commission, during their regular meeting on June 4, 2024, executed the Contract with CrowderGulf, LLC, for Pre-event Debris Removal & Disposal Services from County Right-of-Ways within Unincorporated Baldwin County. Frank Lundy, County Engineer, and Mark Acreman, Assistant County Engineer, request the Commission to approve the amendment from CrowderGulf, LLC, adding a line item to the contract for PUSH Crew Services at a proposed rate of $325.00/hour if needed. The purpose of this amendment is to provide a back-up option for the County to utilize contractor services to assist with initial roadway clearing if a situation arises where County crews or other volunteer work groups cannot perform the task. This line item would be utilized as an option of last resort. Staff recommends the Commission approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the amendment.
