STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Adopt the Rebuild Alabama - Baldwin County FY 2027 County Transportation Plan which includes the following projects:
Pine Grove Road - Resurface from Pine Grove Road Extension W to Pine Grove Road Extension
Pine Grove Road Extension W - Resurface from State Highway 59 to Pine Grove Road
Lottie Road - Resurface from Lottie Road Bridge to Jack Springs Road
County Road 24 - Resurface from County Road 3 to State Highway 181
County Road 24 - Resurface from State Highway 181 to Sherwood Highland Road
Scenic Highway 98 - Bridge Replacement over Point Clear Creek; and
2) Approve the display of the County Transportation Plan in conspicuous places at the Baldwin County Courthouses, Baldwin County Commission offices, Baldwin County Highway Department, Baldwin County website and other places deemed appropriate by the Baldwin County Commission.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Governor Kay Ivey signed the Rebuild Alabama Act #2019-2 into law on March 12, 2019. This Act amended the Code of Alabama 1975 and will be used for transportation infrastructure improvement, preservation, and maintenance projects pursuant to the provisions of the Act. The Alabama State Act levies an additional 10¢ excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel implemented over a three-year period.
Counties shall adopt an annual County Transportation Plan (CTP) no later than August 31st for the next fiscal year. The plan shall be approved by an affirmative vote of the majority of the members of the County Commission.
The County Transportation Plan shall provide a detailed list of projects for which expenditures are intended to be made in the next fiscal year. The detailed list of projects shall be based on an estimate of the revenues anticipated to be received in the fund during the fiscal year.
