STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Award Bid #WG24-33 for the Provision of Concrete Sidewalk Repair on County Right-of-Ways to the overall lowest bidder, Parten Smith, Inc., as per the Award Listing and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract. (Contract is effective immediately upon the same date as its full execution for twelve (12) months).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on July 11, 2024, at 1:30 P.M. Five (5) bids were received. Parten Smith, Inc. submitted the overall lowest bid.  Staff recommends the Commission award the bid for the Provision of Concrete Sidewalk Repair on County Right-of-Ways to the overall lowest bidder, Parten Smith, Inc., as per the Award Listing. Bid Tabulation is attached for review.

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

6/18/2024 meeting1) Approved the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Concrete Sidewalk Repair on County Right-of-Ways; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
