Award the bid to the lowest bidder, W. R. Mitchell Contractor, Inc., in the amount of $163,704.00; Construction time: 35 calendar days; for the construction of the Baldwin County Magnolia Landfill Facility Entrance Utilities and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract and any other award documents.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on June 13, 2023, at 2:30 P.M. Two (2) bids were received. The lowest bid was received from W. R. Mitchell Contractor, Inc., in the amount of $163,704.00. The Engineer, Daniel Wells, with CDG Engineering & Associates has reviewed the bid responses and submitted the certified Bid Tabulation and a letter recommending the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, W. R. Mitchell Contractor, Inc. Bid Tabulation attached for review.
The Commission budgeted $300,000.00 (site repairs) for this project during the FY 2023 budget period.
Previous Commission action/date:
05/02/2023 meeting: Approved the final designs of the Baldwin County Magnolia Landfill Facility Entrance Utilities, Scalehouse and three (3) Scales and authorized the Purchasing Director and Engineer to bid the projects.
