Recommendation

Approve a Second Amendment to the Intergovernmental Service Agreement with the City of Loxley for the Loxley Transit Shelter, originally approved June 1, 2021, and amended June 4, 2024, which extends the term of the agreement by six (6) months, to December 1, 2025.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The current Agreement with the City of Loxley for construction of a public transit shelter project at the Municipal Park in the City will expire on June 1, 2025. The project is still ongoing and a term extension of six (6) months is needed until all phases are complete. The City is managing the project and coordinates directly with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

06/04/2024: Approved an amendment to the Intergovernmental Service Agreement with the City of Loxley, originally approved June 1, 2021, for the Loxley Transit Shelter, which extended the term of the agreement by twelve (12) months from the conclusion of the original agreement and increased project funding amounts by the Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization and the City of Loxley.

 

06/01/2021: Approved an Intergovernmental Service Agreement formalizing the arrangements between the Baldwin County Commission and the Town of Loxley to provide joint cooperation in the Town’s management of the Loxley Transit Shelter project. Agreement effective for thirty-six (36) months upon full execution.
