Recommendation

Appoint Matthew P. McKenzie, Baldwin County Commission Chairman, as the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Phase II Permit Responsible Official to execute all documents required by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) for the County’s MS4 Permit ALR #40042.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  01/16/2024 - Appointed Billie Jo Underwood, Baldwin County Commission Chairman, as the MS4 Phase II Permit Responsible Official.

 

Background: In accordance with the County’s MS4 Phase II Permit, Baldwin County is required to appoint a Responsible Official who has the authority to execute permit applications, annual reports and other essential documents required by ADEM throughout the year. Staff requests that the Commission Chairman be appointed as the Responsible Official.
