BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for engineering / environmental services for park improvements to Mullet Point Park in Fairhope, Alabama, were received in the Purchasing Conference Room on December 17, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. Ten (10) firms submitted a packet. The evaluation committee consisted of Wanda Gautney, Jeanette Brown, Latisha Smith, Stacy Appleton, John Sedlack, Seth Peterson and Caleb Hacker. After reviewing the ten (10) submittals, the evaluation committee scored Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC, the highest and feels that Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC, meets the requirements for the project. Staff recommends the Commission approve the request to begin negotiations with Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC, so that a final recommendation for the award can be made to the Baldwin County Commission regarding the selection.
This project will be funded by the Gulf of Mexico Security Act of 2006 (GOMESA).
Previous Commission action/date:
11/06/2025 meeting: Approved the RFQ for engineering / environmental services for the park improvements to Mullet Point Park in Fairhope, Alabama, and authorized the Purchasing Director to advertise the RFQ.
09/17/2024 meeting: Adopted the Baldwin County FY 2024-2025 Budget (Resolution #2024-159) and approved the decision item lists that correlate with Resolution #2024-159.
