STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Lease Agreement with Wharehouse, LLC, in the amount of $13,850.00 annually for the thirty-six (36) months payable in quarterly installments of $3,462.50 commencing April 1, 2025, for the storage of equipment and surplus furniture. (Contract term is for thirty-six (36) months effective on April 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2028.)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The current lease agreement with Wharehouse, LLC, will expire on March 31, 2025, for the Bay Minette storage building that is used by the Purchasing Department. Wharehouse, LLC, has submitted a new Lease Agreement for thirty-six (36) months in the amount $13,850.00 annually (including electricity) to be payable in quarterly installments of $3,462.50 commencing on April 1, 2025. The storage building is used to store surplus equipment and furniture for all County departments. This is a large open building and is approximately 1,920 square feet. The cost to the County is approximately $7.21 per square foot.

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

03/15/2022 meeting: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the lease agreement with Wharehouse, LLC, in the amount of $12,000.00 annually for the thirty-six (36) months payable in quarterly installments of $3,000.00 commencing April 1, 2022, for the storage of equipment and surplus furniture. (Contract term is for thirty-six (36) months effective on April 1, 2022, and ending March 31, 2025.)

 

11/19/2019 meeting: Approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the lease agreement with Wharehouse, LLC, in the amount of $8,700.00 annually for the twenty-nine (29) months payable in quarterly installments of $2,175.00 commencing November 1, 2019, for the storage of equipment and surplus furniture. (Contract terms are for twenty-nine (29) months effective on November 1, 2019, and ending March 31, 2022).
