STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Shelter Agreement between Baldwin County Commission (Baldwin County Animal Shelter) and Hill’s Pet Nutrition Sales, Inc., for select Hill’s brand pet food at a discounted amount.
The Agreement shall commence on October 6, 2026, and continue for a period of one year (1) expiring on October 6, 2027, with an automatic renewal for two (2) successive terms of one (1) year each unless terminated by either party by giving a thirty (30) day written notice of termination prior to the end of the initial term or any renewal term.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Baldwin County Animal Shelter has been using Hill’s Pet Nutrition Sales, Inc. to provide pet food since November 13, 2017. Hill’s requires the County to enter into an agreement every three (3) years to provide pet food to the Animal Shelter at a discounted amount.
Previous Commission action/date: 06/20/2023 - Approved the Agreement with Hill’s Pet Nutrition Sales, Inc.
