Authorize staff to begin negotiations with Thompson Engineering, Inc., so that a final recommendation for award can be made to the Baldwin County Commission for the Engineering Services for the Dirt Road Paving Project - Mannich Lane from County Road 9 to Lipscomb Road.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The RFQ for Engineering Services for the Dirt Road Paving Project - Mannich Lane from County Road 9 to Lipscomb Road were received in the Purchasing Conference Room on November 20, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. Five (5) firms submitted a packet. The evaluation committee consisted of Jeanette Brown, Stacy Appleton, John Sedlack, Ashlie Rickard, Alfreda “Weesie” Jeffords, and Chris Bradley. After reviewing the five (5) submittals, the evaluation committee scored Thompson Engineering, Inc., the highest and feels that Thompson Engineering, Inc., meets the requirements for the project. Staff recommends the Baldwin County Commission approve the request to begin negotiations with Thompson Engineering, Inc., so that a final recommendation for the award can be made to the Baldwin County Commission regarding the selection.
