STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve the Contract for Law Enforcement Services between the Baldwin County Commission, the City of Gulf Shores, and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, for the provision of law enforcement protection for the City of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
The term of this Contract commenced January 1, 2026, and will terminate December 31, 2026. Any party may terminate this contract without cause or further liability to the other, except to the indemnification provided herein, upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other parties to this contract.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Act 07-256 provides that Baldwin County may contract to provide law enforcement services to a municipality within its boundaries. Such Act also allows law enforcement by the Sheriff and his duly commissioned deputies of all laws within the corporate limits and police jurisdiction of the municipality.
Previous Commission action/date: March 18, 2025 - Approved a contract for Law Enforcement Services with the City of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
