BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Highway Department is submitting for Commission approval Change Order #1 in the amount of $5,100.00 for Project No. HW22146 - U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Realignment. The County had to get the Contractor to add additional slope paving and concrete curbs in order to comply with ALDOT permit requirements.
Previous Commission action/date:
10/01/2024 meeting: Awarded the bid for Project No. HW22146 - U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Realignment to the lowest bidder, Asphalt Services, Inc., in the Bid Amount $461,310.25; Construction Time: 45 working days; and authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract.
07/02/2024 meeting: 1) Authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Improvements Project; and 2) Authorized the Chairman to execute any project related documents.
