STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve the Auction Sales Agreement between J.M. Wood Auction Company, Inc., and the Baldwin County Commission, which will be applicable to all departments of the Commission, with all future equipment inventory lists being brought to the Commission for approval.
This Agreement shall become effective January 1, 2026, pending full execution by both parties, and terminate January 1, 2027, with an automatic renewal for an additional two (2) years, in one (1) year increments, unless cancelled by either party with a 30-day written notice prior to the contract renewal.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The County has used J.M. Wood Auction Company, Inc., to auction surplus equipment since 1995. The current agreement between J.M. Wood Auction Company, Inc., and the County will expire December 31, 2025. This agreement will allow the County to use their services for the next three years for surplus equipment.
J.M. Wood will give a gross financial guarantee on all auction items consigned by Baldwin County with a six percent (6%) commission deducted from all proceeds.
Previous Commission action/date: December 20, 2022 - The Commission approved the Auction Sales Agreement between J.M. Wood Auction Company, Inc., and the BCC, applicable to all departments of the Commission, effective December 20, 2022, to December 31, 2023, with an automatic renewal for an additional two (2) years, in one (1) year increments.
