STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve parking lot and vehicle access improvements at Baldwin County Central Annex I to enhance traffic circulation and increase parking capacity.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background: The Central Annex I remodel is nearing completion and will enhance customer service through better organized offices and improved operational efficiency. To complement these renovations, additional improvements to the parking lot are planned to enhance traffic circulation and increase parking capacity.

 

Design cost for the Central Annex I Parking Lot and Vehicle Access Improvements is $71,915.00 and will be appropriated from the 202 Capital Projects Fund. Construction cost will be funded when design plans are complete.

 

Previous Commission action/date:  June 24, 2025 - The Commission adopted Resolution #2025-143 amending the FY 2025 Budget in order to reallocate funds ($35,000.00) to support the planning process for redesigning the guest parking area at Central Annex I, with funds utilized for program analysis, campus framework development, and site visioning.
