STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Service Order Agreements with Uniti Fiber, LLC, for Baldwin County Commission’s Voice Managed Services.
The Service Order Agreements will be effective upon full execution for thirty six (36) months.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Uniti Fiber, LLC meets the requirements of the RFP approved on November 18th, 2025, and includes 24,000 minutes of long-distance services per month at no additional charge. No overage is expected, as the County has averaged 15,000-17,000 long-distance services per month in 2025.
Previous Commission action/date:
12/16/2025 - BCC approved the renewal of Uniti Fiber, LLC Service Order Agreements for Internet and Telecommunication Services - did not include VOIP services.
11/18/2025 - BCC approved RFP for Voice Managed Services to Uniti Fiber, LLC.
12/20/2022 - BCC approved Uniti Fiber, LLC Service Order Agreement for Internet Services for P-25 Radio System Interzone Connectivity to the University of Alabama.
06/07/2022 - BCC approved the renewal of Uniti Fiber, LLC Contract for Internet and Telecommunication Services, and Upgrade.
03/06/2019 - BCC awarded the RFP for Internet and Telecommunications Services to lowest responsible bidder, Uniti Fiber, LLC, (Southern Light) in the total amount of $79,780.72 per year.
