BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date:
03/19/19 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the purchase of one (1) Animal Adoption/Rescue Trailer; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addenda or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on April 10, 2019 at 2:30 P.M. One (1) bid was received from Jackson Creek Manufacturing, Inc., in the amount of $28,783.50. They had one (1) exception to the bid specifications. They did not include the required bid bond as stated in the specifications. Staff recommendation is to award the bid to Jackson Creek Manufacturing, Inc., with the exception.
Ninety (90) Vendors registered on the County website were notified by email and sent a postcard, via U.S. Postal Service notifying them of this solicitation.
