STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

1) Approve the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Annual Sand Removal, Sifting and Disposition of sand from County right-of-ways onto the beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula; and

2) Authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  This is an annual bid for the annual sand removal, sifting and disposition of sand from County right-of-ways onto the beach on the Fort Morgan Peninsula. This bid will be for a two (2) year period with the option of a twelve (12) month extension. Staff recommends the Commission approve the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid.
