Recommendation
Adopt Resolution #2025-048 amending Fiscal Year 2024 Budget (Resolution #2023-186 and Resolution #2023-187, adopted on September 28, 2023) in order to establish the capital asset of donated land from the City of Foley in 2021.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: In 2021, the Commission terminated the long-term lease between the City of Foley and the County Commission concerning a portion of County-leased property, designated as the BRATS Hub, located between N. Poplar Street and Juniper Street in Foley, Alabama. The Commission additionally accepted the eastern half of the property as a donation from the City of Foley as County-owned property. At that time, the Commission executed the Statutory Warranty Deed to formalize the record.
During the BCC Regular Meeting on November 5, 2024, the Commission executed a Correction Deed for the BRATS Hub property in Foley, which was given to the County in 2021 by the City of Foley for the purpose of serving as a parking area for BRATS and first responders who will utilize the First Responders Safe Room facility being constructed by the City on its portion of the property.
The purpose of Resolution #2025-048 is to financially document the assessed value of this County-owned property in order to establish the capital asset.

07/20/2021, BCC Regular Meeting - The Commission terminated a Lease Agreement with the City of Foley and approved the acceptance of the subject property along with a Reciprocal Easement Agreement.
05/18/2021, BCC Regular Meeting - The Commission established a cross-parking agreement with the City of Foley and accepted the eastern half of the property as County-owned property.
