STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Authorize the Chairman to execute a written notice of termination to Brink’s U.S. to terminate the Services Agreement between Brink’s U.S. and the Baldwin County Commission for armored transportation services of public funds, originally approved during the April 16, 2013, Baldwin County Commission regular meeting.

This termination is effective on February 17, 2025.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The Interim Clerk Treasurer is requesting that the Services Agreement with Brink’s U.S. be terminated due to the armored transportation services no longer being needed.  The Finance and Accounting Department will manage the bank deposits. A sixty (60) day written notice is required to terminate the agreement.

 

Previous Commission action/date:  April 16, 2013 - Approved the Agreement with Brink’s U.S.

Total cost of recommendation:  Savings of approximately $300 a month
