STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

 

1) Award Bid #WG26-24 for the provision of police vehicle accessories to the lowest responsible bidder, Andrews Diesel and Automotive Repair, LLC, for Group #1 as per the Award Listing; and

 

2) Reject the bid received from ProLogic ITS, LLC, for Bid #WG26-24 for the provision of police vehicle accessories because it did not meet the required bid specifications.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on March 25, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Two (2) bids were received. ProLogic ITS, LLC, submitted the only bid for Group #2, but could not commit to a 12-month fixed pricing period which is a requirement in the bid specifications. Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office staff recommends the Commission not re-bid Group #2 at this time and purchase those items off a State or National Contract if needed. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid for the provision of police vehicle accessories to the lowest responsible bidder, Andrew’s Diesel and Automotive Repair, LLC, for Group #1 as per the Award Listing. Bid Tabulation attached for review.
