STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the First Amendment to Employment Contracts for the following appointed contract employees, said amendment to be effective for the first payroll of Fiscal Year 2026:

 

1) Budget Director, Elizabeth M. Hodges

2) Building Official, Eddie D. Harper

3) Communication and Information Systems Director, Brian Peacock

4) County Administrator, Roger H. Rendleman

5) County Engineer, Frank Lundy

6) Emergency Management Director, Thomas O. Tyler

7) Juvenile Detention Director, Georgeanna Murphy

8) Personnel Director, Deidra B. Hanak

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

August 15, 2023 - Approved employment contract for EMA Director, Thomas O. Tyler.

 

June 20, 2023 - Approved employment contract for County Engineer, Frank Lundy.

 

May 2, 2023 - Approved employment contracts for the following appointed employees:

 

1) Budget Director, Elizabeth M. Hodges

2) Building Official, Eddie D. Harper

3) Communication and Information Systems Director, Brian Peacock

4) County Administrator, Roger H. Rendleman

5) Juvenile Detention Director, Georgeanna Murphy

6) Personnel Director, Deidra B. Hanak

 

Background:  During the September 16, 2025, Regular meeting, the Baldwin County Commission adopted its FY2026 Budget which included a $1,800 cost of living salary increase for all County employees. The employment contracts for the appointed employees must be amended to reflect the COLA.
