STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the renewals of the Service Order Agreements between the Baldwin County Commission and Uniti Fiber, LLC for circuit at Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) for Internet and Telecommunication Services, at a cost of $48,780.00 per year; and
2) Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the renewal of the Service Order Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and Uniti Fiber, LLC for a 100mb Internet connection between the Baldwin County Commission P-25 Radio System and the University of Alabama P-25 Radio System to allow interzone connectivity, at a cost of $7,020.00 per year.
The Service Order Agreements are effective for thirty-six (36) months and commence immediately upon the same date as full execution.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Baldwin County Commission awarded Uniti Fiber, LLC (Southern Light) Internet and Telecommunication Services on March 6, 2019, in the total amount of $79,780.72 per year.
The Service Order Agreements for Baldwin County EMA for Internet and Telecommunication Services will not include voice over IP (VOIP) in this renewal.
The Service Order Agreement for Internet Services for P-25 Radio System Interzone Connectivity to the University of Alabama will extend the coverage and management abilities for the P-25 radio system.
Previous Commission action/date:
12/20/2022 - BCC approved - Uniti Fiber, LLC - Service Order Agreement for Internet Services for P-25 Radio System Interzone Connectivity to the University of Alabama.
06/07/2022 - BCC approved the renewal - Uniti Fiber, LLC Contract Renewal for Internet and Telecommunication Services, and Upgrade for Baldwin County Commission.
03/06/2019 - BCC awarded the RFP for Internet and Telecommunications Services to lowest responsible bidder, Uniti Fiber, LLC, (Southern Light) in the total amount of $79,780.72 per year and authorized the Chairman to execute the Agreements.
