BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Highway Department is submitting for Commission approval Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $1,936.00 for Project No. HW22146 - U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Realignment. This Change Order is to increase pipe length to allow the installation of 6:1 pipe end treatment as required by ALDOT and will not increase the contract time.
Previous Commission action/date:
06/03/2025 meeting: Approved Change Order #1 in the amount of $5,100.00 with Asphalt Services, Inc., for Project No. HW22146 - U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Realignment and authorized the Chairman to execute the Change Order.
10/01/2024 meeting: Awarded the bid for Project No. HW22146 - U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Realignment to the lowest bidder, Asphalt Services, Inc., in the Bid Amount $461,310.25; Construction Time: 45 working days; and authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract.
07/02/2024 meeting: 1) Authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Improvements Project; and 2) Authorized the Chairman to execute any project related documents.
