STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

 

1) Approve the employment of Gage Bringer to fill the open Operator Technician Trainee position (#5487) at a grade 306 ($17.01 per hour / $35,380.80 annually); and

 

2) Approve the employment of Gregory Robinson to fill the open Operator Technician I position (#5627) at a grade 308 ($18.25 per hour / $37,960.00 annually); and

 

3) Approve the promotion of Austin Butler from the Operator Technician I position (#5007) grade 308 ($18.71 per hour / $38,916.80 annually) to fill the open Operator Technician II position (#340) at a grade 309 ($20.21 per hour / $42,036.80 annually); and

 

4) Approve the promotion of Jacobie Knight from the Operator Technician I position (#5386) grade 308 ($18.74 per hour / $38,979.20 annually) to fill the open Operator Technician II position (#264) at a grade 309 ($20.24 per hour / $42,099.20 annually); and

 

5) Approve the lateral transfer of Keanna Knight from the Traffic Control Technician II (Sign) position (#5386) grade 309 ($19.65 per hour / $40,872.00 annually), in the Highway Traffic Operations Department (53135), to fill the open Operator Technician II position (#248), with no change in salary, in the Bay Minette Highway Department (53111).

 

These actions shall be effective no sooner than April 7, 2025.

Background:  The Operator Technician positions were vacated due to the promotion/resignation of the previous employees. The County Engineer respectfully requests that the above recommendations are approved.
