STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Consider the applicant’s request to rezone the subject property from RA, Rural Agricultural District, to B-4, Major Commercial District, based on the information provided in the staff report and the public comments received.

 

Should the Commission determine that the request is consistent with the Zoning Ordinance, adopt Resolution #2026-108, which approves Case No. Z26-20, Smith Property Rezoning, as it pertains to the rezoning of 1.36 acres, more or less, as located in Planning (Zoning) District 12 from RA, Rural Agricultural District, to B-4, Major Commercial District.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The subject property is currently zoned RA, Rural Agricultural District, and is located in Planning District 12, east of State Highway 59 and south of Railroad Avenue, in the Loxley area. The applicant is requesting to rezone 1.36 acres, more or less, from RA to B-4, Major Commercial District, for commercial use.
