BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on January 6, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Five (5) bids were received. The four (4) lowest bids were received from out-of-state vendors not registered with the Alabama Secretary of State to do business in Alabama as required in Alabama Code Section 10A-1-7.01. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid for the purchase of one (1) Portable Handheld Analyzer using Raman Spectroscopy or Equivalent to the lowest responsible bidder, who met all the specifications, Thermo Scientific Portable Analytical Instruments, Inc., per the Award Listing. Bid Tabulation attached for review.
The BCC approved the FY 2026 Community Development Grant Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council Grant Agreement in the amount of $20,000.00 in local grant funds in support of the County’s TruNarc project on October 21, 2025.
The BCC has been reimbursed the $15,660.00 not covered by the RC&D Grant, from the Sheriff’s Office Discretionary Fund.
Previous Commission action/date: 10/21/2025 - Approved the FY 2026 Community Development Grant Gulf Coast RC&D Council Grant Agreement.
