STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the purchase and authorize the Purchasing Director to issue Purchase Orders for one (1) new 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4WD PPV off Competitive Bid #WG25-02 in the amount of $58,829.00 and one (1) Ford F150 Police Responder Truck off the State of Alabama Contract in the amount of $57,236.00 for a total amount of $116,065.00.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Sheriff Anthony Lowery is requesting that the Commission approve the Sheriff’s Office utilizing the remaining budgeted funds of $163,251.00 from FY 25 to purchase two (2) new police vehicles. The Sheriff’s Office would like to purchase one (1) new 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4WD PPV off Competitive Bid #WG25-02 in the amount of $58,829.00 and one (1) new 2025 Ford F150 Police Responder Truck off the State of Alabama Contract in the amount of $57,236.00 for a total amount of $116,065.00. Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has a remaining balance of $163,251.00 in the vehicle line item after all vehicles have been ordered for the FY 25 budget. This balance could be used to purchase the new vehicles.

 

The amount for the truck was increased by $300.00 to include the delivery fee.
