STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

1) Adopt Resolution #2025-026 which approves the Highway Department to prepare and submit an application for the Fiscal Year 2025 Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program II (ATRIP-II) requesting federal funding for the addition of a turn lane and traffic signal upgrades at State Route 59 and County Road 32; and

2) Authorize the Chairman to execute a Letter of Intent to the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) advising of Baldwin County’s intent to apply for federal funds for construction of the project; and

3) Authorize the Chairman to sign any related documents.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background: The FY 2025 ATRIP-II application deadline is November 15, 2024. The project sponsor can apply for up to $2,000,000.00 in non-matching requirement funds. Design, right-of-way, and construction are eligible for funding under the ATRIP-II Program.
