STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the request from Lucy Smith with Lillian Recreational Park, Inc., for the Highway Department (Area 300 Maintenance Facility) to clear 675 feet of debris and grade the drainage ditch at the Lillian Recreational Park at an estimated cost of $45,388.20 for equipment and labor to be donated by the County Commission.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Lillian Recreational Park, Inc., is requesting assistance from the Commission to help clear debris and grade the drainage ditch to improve drainage in the area.

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

August 3, 2021 - Approved the Area 300 Maintenance Facility to clear 675 feet of debris and grade drainage ditch at the Lillian Recreational Park for an estimated cost of $26,537.00 for equipment and labor.

 

April 20, 2010 - Approved the Area 300 Maintenance Facility to place a water retention pit and repair a low area of the parking lot for the Lillian Recreational Park for an estimated cost of $1,225.00 for materials with funding from Commission District 4 Highway Contingency Funds.

 

June 16, 2009 - Approved a Service Agreement between Baldwin County Commission and the Lillian Recreational Park, Inc., for the Baldwin County Highway Department to construct a basketball court for a total estimated cost of $22,890.00 for labor, materials and contract work.
