STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the promotion of James Howell from the Operator Technician III position (#345) grade 310 ($29.58 per hour / $61,526.40 annually), in the Silverhill Highway Department (53112), to fill the Mechanic II position (#336) at a grade 312 ($31.95 per hour / $66,456.00 annually), in the Bay Minette Highway Department (53111), to be effective no sooner than January 13, 2025.

Background:  The Mechanic II position was vacated due to the retirement of the previous employee. The County Engineer respectfully requests that the above recommendation is approved.
