Approve the cycling route for the Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Annual Bike MS: Tour de Beach fundraising event in Gulf Shores, Alabama on September 26, 2026.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has requested the County Commission approve the cycling route and the use of the specified county roads for the bike ride. The route begins and ends at Lake Shelby at 20115 State Park Road, Gulf Shores, Alabama across from The Lodge at Gulf State Park. Bikers will travel on AL-180 E (Canal Road), AL 182 E (Perdido Beach Boulevard), and FL-292 E (Perdido Key Drive).
The City of Orange Beach has provided a Special Event Permit. The City of Gulf Shores has provided a Public Assembly Permit. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office will provide security for the event.
Previous Commission action/date: July 1, 2025 - Approved the Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Annual Bike MS: Tour de Beach 2025 fundraising event.
