STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the addition of the following employees to the County Take Home Vehicle List with an effective date of November 6, 2025:

 

Joshua Chiasson, Permit Manager - 2021 Ford F-150 Extended Cab 4x4

 

Matthew Ulrich, Construction Manager - 2023 Ford F-150 XL Super Crew Cab 4x4

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The reorganization of the Highway Construction section was approved as part of the FY 2026 Budget. As part of this reorganization, Joshua Chiasson and Matthew Ulrich have assumed supervisory roles that include expanded responsibilities and the expectation to serve as first responders to after-hours callouts.

 

To support these responsibilities, authorization of take-home County vehicles is requested for each employee. The vehicles will enable timely response to after-hours and weekend incidents using reliable County-owned equipment capable of traversing rough terrain when necessary. These vehicles will be equipped to address a variety of situations, including employee accidents, weather-related impacts to roads or bridges, and other emergency conditions requiring supervisory response.
