STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

1) Approve the Request for Proposals (RFP) for Micro-transit Software for Public Transportation and authorize the Purchasing Director to advertise the RFP; and

2) Further, authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the RFP is advertised.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The Baldwin Regional Area Transit System (BRATS) utilizes software to manage the operational aspects of providing public transportation services. The contract with the current software provider is within the final extension period and expires on 09/30/2025. BRATS staff has requested that the RFP be advertised for micro-transit software with implementation and support services.  Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has reviewed the RFP and submitted the attached approval letter.
