STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Shared Use Agreement with the Mobile County Communications District, which describes the connectivity of both Counties’ communications switches and plans for interoperability.

 
This Agreement shall be effective upon full execution and shall remain in effect for a term of three (3) years.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Reason for replacement item: Agreement terms reduced from five years to three years. The Baldwin County 700/800Mhz Interoperable Communications System, in cooperation with Mobile County Communications District, will be connecting the Baldwin County Commission and Mobile County communications switches together to expand and enhance interoperable public safety communications on the Gulf Coast. This Shared Use Agreement defines the scope of services and responsibilities for the connectivity and outlines interoperability plans.
