STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Adopt Resolution #2025-102 regarding the functional reclassification of Langford Road (from County Road 48 to State Route 104) from a Local Road to a Minor Collector; and
2) Adopt Resolution #2025-103 regarding the functional reclassification of County Road 32 (from Scenic Highway 98 to Greeno Road) from a Minor Arterial to a Major Collector; and
3) Adopt Resolution #2025-104 regarding the functional reclassification of County Road 3 (Section Street) (from County Road 32 to County Road 34) from a Minor Arterial to a Major Collector; and
4) Approve the Assistant County Engineer to send letters of request and all required documentation to the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) for the functional reclassification of Langford Road, a portion of County Road 32, and a portion of Country Road 3 (Section Street).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Baldwin County Highway Department is requesting the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) to change the Functional Classification of Langford Road (from County Road 48 to State Route 104), County Road 32 (from Scenic 98 to Greeno Road), and County Road 3 (Section Street) (from County Road 32 to County Road 34) to better align with their uses and purpose. The classification of Langford Road will also enable the Baldwin County Commission to pursue federal funding opportunities. The Eastern Shore MPO supports these requests for reclassification.
