STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

As it relates to the Baldwin County Personnel Appeals Board, take the following actions:

1) Recognize the reappointment of Ms. Donna Richardson, by vote of the members of the Baldwin County Personnel Appeals Board, for a three (3) year term commencing January 1, 2026, and expiring at close of business on December 31, 2028; and

2) Recognize the election of Renee Hawsey, Probate Office, to serve as one of the two members elected by vote of county classified employees, for a three (3) year term commencing January 1, 2026, and ending at close of business on December 31, 2028.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Under the statutory authority of Section 45-2-120, et. seq., of the Code of Alabama, the Baldwin County Personnel Appeals Board voted to reappoint the "5th" member, Donna Richardson. Additionally, an election was held to fill the expired term of Personnel Appeals Board Member, Renee Hawsey. Upon the completion of the voting process, Ms. Hawsey was re-elected for a three (3) year term, with the term ending at close of business on December 31, 2028. Under the above noted statutory authority, a written certification signed by all employees who assisted in ballot tabulation is required to be sent to the Baldwin County Legislative Delegation. This Board is composed of five (5) members: two (2) members are appointed by the Commission, two (2) members are elected by county classified employees, and one (1) is selected by the other four (4) members.
