BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Highway Department has selected Thompson Engineering, Inc., to perform CE&I services for the Sherman Road Bridge Replacement Project.
This project is located on Sherman Road in Foley. Numerous flooding events have occurred over the years causing roadway failures, ditch erosion, loss of access to property and flooding of homes. The proposed improvements include replacing the roadway bridge and reinforcing the remaining open ditches.
Previous Commission action/date:
September 28, 2023 - The Commission adopted Resolution #2023-187 and approved the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget allocating $1,770,000.00 for the Sherman Road Bridge Replacement Project.
